Dragon is a bully.
Dragon is a TERRIBLE bully.
He makes everybody's life miserable, from the King down to the lowliest
maid; from the princess to the knights to the wizard to... well you get
the idea.
He meets a very persistent vacuum salesman.
He meets his match.
We won't give away the story but he does learn that he can use his
strength, size and flaming breath to help people AND it actually feels
good to do so!
This show has not only a good story and a good moral, it also has a large
cast of beautifully realized, authentically costumed puppets and of course
Dragon; huge, scaly, shiny and VERY hot of breath. There is a full
original musical score.
To help tell the story we employ, moving scenery, special lighting
(including some "semi-intelligent" lighting) and loads of special effects
including some micro pyrotechnics especially developed for this show. The
show is a visual treat.
"The Dragon's Birthday" is designed for grades 2-6 and runs nearly an
hour. Very young children may be frightened by the dragon or find the show
too long. This show can also be tied into units of study around medieval
times or literature set in that time frame.
